FUNKALLEROS ORIGINAL ALT-LATIN
Based in Melbourne, Funkalleros have been around since 2004 under many different line-ups. Their music is hard to categorise so Abe came up with the term Alt-latin, an original blend of Blues, Alternative-Rock, Pop, Improv and Afro-Latin styles sung in English and Spanish. With 5 albums under their belt, Funkalleros have performed extensively in Australia. The current line-up is a three piece consisting of Emiliano Beltzer on bass and vocals, Jose Tortabu on drumkit and Abe Dunovits on guitars, vocals and composition. Their lyrics reflect a social conscience in a constant fight against injustice, intolerance but project a positive vision of the world, where Love reigns over everything.
Funkalleros vienen tocando desde el 2004 en Australia y han tenido varias alineaciones. En este momento tocan como trio con Emiliano Beltzer (Argentina) en el bajo y voces, Jose Tortabu (Venezuela) en la bateria y Abraham Dunovits en las guitarras, voz principal. El ultimo es el compositor de las canciones que ha denominado Alt-Latin que describe la fusion de Blues, Rock Alternativo, Pop, Improvisacion y estilos Afro-Latinos. Han grabado 5 albumes, todo de musica de composicion propia. Las letras reflejan temas de aspecto social y cultural, solidarizandose en una lucha contra lo negativo en la vida y dandole amparo al amor y la comprension entre los seres humanos.
